We want every pail to be safe to use. This page explains the warnings you'll see on our product pages and the rules we follow when choosing what to sell.
Our products are for adults
We sell general-purpose party, gift wrap, craft, stationery and home items for adults. They're not toys, and they aren't designed or tested as products for children aged 12 or under. Please keep small items, sharp items and packaging away from young children.
What the warnings mean
When a product needs a warning, you'll find the full text under Safety & warnings on its product page. If an item is a choking hazard, a short WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD line also appears right next to its price, so you see it before you add it to your cart. The warnings we use are:
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD — Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs. The item has, or is made of, pieces small enough for a young child to swallow or choke on.
NOT A TOY. For decorative use only. Keep away from children. The item is decoration or a craft supply, not something for children to play with.
CAUTION: Sharp points or edges. Handle with care and keep away from children. The item has points or edges, such as wire ends, that can scratch or poke.
What we don't sell
To keep our range simple and safe to ship, we don't sell items that contain batteries or strong magnets, liquids, aerosols or anything flammable, knives or blades, or food and cosmetics.
Some items aren't available in every country because of local product rules. If an item can't be sold in the country you've chosen, it won't appear in our listings or search results for that country.
Safety information language
Product information and safety warnings are provided in English only. We choose products that are safe to use without detailed instructions.
Report a safety concern
If you think a product we sell is unsafe, or you'd like to ask about a product recall or safety notice, please contact us or email support@tidepail.com. Tell us the product name and, if you have one, your order number. We take every safety report seriously and reply within 1 business day.
